Biography
Bishop Robert Barron is is a prominent figure in the Catholic Church and is the Bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester (Minnesota). Through his ministry, Word on Fire Catholic Ministries, he has become a powerful voice for Catholicism in the digital age, reaching millions through his website, social media, and critically acclaimed documentaries. He is the creator and host of CATHOLICISM, which has aired numerous times on PBS.
Bishop Barron was ordained a priest in 1986 in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Pope Francis appointed him to be Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles on July 21, 2015. He was ordained bishop on September 8, 2015. On June 2, 2022, Pope Francis appointed Bishop Robert Barron the ninth Bishop of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester (Minnesota).
